Adani bets $100 billion on data centers to boost India's artificial intelligence ambitions.
Adani Enterprises said on Tuesday that the company will invest $100 billion to build a renewable energy-driven artificial intelligence ready data center by 2035, positioning India as a competitor in the global artificial intelligence race. With global companies such as Google, Amazon, Meta, and Microsoft, as well as domestic companies like Reliance and TCS, increasing their investments, India's spending on large-scale artificial intelligence infrastructure has surged. Independent market analyst Ambareesh Baliga said, "AI-ready data centers will become the key nerve center of AI-driven environments, and large groups with substantial funds will naturally prepare for the future by establishing such data centers."
