To further facilitate exchanges between Chinese and foreign nationals, starting today, China is implementing a visa-free policy for holders of ordinary passports from Canada and the United Kingdom. Holders of ordinary passports from these two countries who come to China for business, tourism, visiting relatives, exchange visits, or transit for no more than 30 days, can enter without a visa. The relevant visa-free policy will be in effect until December 31 of this year. In response, Canadian lawmakers, local officials, and relevant industry professionals have expressed their enthusiasm, stating "this is great." They believe that the new type of strategic partnership has opened a new chapter in the relationship between the two countries, and the implementation of the visa-free policy will create more opportunities for further enhancing mutual understanding between the people of both countries and practical cooperation in various fields. Many British tourists are also taking this opportunity to come to China and experience the strong Chinese New Year atmosphere and the charm of Chinese culture.
