Sydney knife attack incident results in one death and two people seriously injured.

On the morning of the 17th, a knife attack occurred in the western part of Sydney, Australia, resulting in 1 person dead and 2 seriously injured. New South Wales police said the incident took place in the Merrylands area, about 20 kilometers west of the city center, where a man attacked multiple people with a knife, resulting in one person dead on the spot. The other two injured were taken to the hospital, and their injuries are currently serious. The attacker fled after the incident. Police later arrested a man near the scene.
