Japanese media: Survey shows that 40% of institutions have reduced their holdings of US dollar assets.
According to the website of the Nikkei Asian Review on February 11th, global investors are beginning to reassess their investments in the United States. The survey results show that four out of ten institutional investors have already reduced or plan to reduce their US dollar asset allocations. This is mainly due to concerns about the sharp fluctuations in the prices of US Treasury bonds and the weakening of the US dollar caused by the policies of the Trump administration. Against the background of foreign governments steadily reducing their holdings of US bonds in an effort to reduce dependence on the US dollar, if private funds also accelerate their "exit from the United States," it could impact the Trump administration.
