A fire broke out in the plant area of Xiangtan Iron and Steel Group Limited Company, with no casualties.

The Emergency Management Bureau of Xiangtan City, Hunan Province reported on February 15th that a fire broke out in the factory area of Xiangtan Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd at around 16:15 on February 14th. After the accident occurred, the fire rescue, emergency management, public security, ecological environment and other departments quickly organized forces to rush to the scene for rescue and disposal. By 2:40 am on February 15th, the open flames at the scene had been extinguished, and the accident did not cause any casualties. According to preliminary investigations, the accident occurred when a gas pipeline near the No. 4 blast furnace area caught fire during the abnormal power outage disposal process of Xiangtan Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
