The first Spring Festival holiday after the closure of the Hainan Free Trade Port is approaching, and Haikou Meilan International Airport is bustling with both passengers and cargo, filled with a busy atmosphere of the Lunar New Year. In terms of passenger flow, on February 12th, Meilan Airport had a daily passenger flow of over 110,000 people. In terms of cargo guarantee, on February 10th, Meilan Airport's daily cargo throughput reached 1530 tons, of which the domestic outbound cargo volume exceeded 828 tons, setting a new record for the highest daily volume in history. It is estimated that during the 9-day Spring Festival holiday, Meilan Airport is expected to transport 980,000 passengers, with the peak return travel expected to occur on the seventh day of the lunar new year, with a potential transport of over 120,000 passengers on that day.
