Goldman Sachs launches "Anti-AI Replacement" thematic stock basket.
Goldman Sachs has launched a new custom stock basket aimed at addressing the increasing volatility in software stocks, betting on companies that are believed to be better able to resist the disruption of artificial intelligence. On the long side, Goldman Sachs favors companies that can directly benefit from the widespread use of artificial intelligence, including providers of computing services, data infrastructure, observability solutions, cybersecurity, hyperscale cloud services, and artificial intelligence development platforms. The basket includes companies such as Cloudflare Inc., CrowdStrike Holdings Inc., Palantir Technologies, Oracle, and Microsoft. On the short side, traders are targeting software-oriented workflows that may be automated or internally rebuilt due to the expansion of artificial intelligence capabilities. Relevant targets include Monday.com Ltd., Salesforce Inc., DocuSign Inc., Accenture, and ServiceNow.
