Sinochem's Blue Star Company strategically acquired Elkem's organic silicon business assets.

On February 13, China National Chemical Corporation (ChemChina) announced that its subsidiary, China Bluestar Group Co., Ltd., has signed an agreement to acquire the core assets of Elkem's silicones business. The transaction price will be settled by redeeming all the shares of Elkem held by Bluestar. After the completion of the transaction, Bluestar will no longer hold any shares of Elkem.
