By the end of this year, Inner Mongolia will complete sand prevention and control on more than 15 million acres.
Journalists learned on the 13th that this year Inner Mongolia will continue to vigorously promote the "Three-North" engineering campaign, completing the greening and sand control of over 15 million acres. The "Three-North" engineering campaign includes the key battles of the Yellow River "several-bend" region, the Kelun and Hunshandake sand control battle, and the Hexi Corridor-Taklamakan Desert border combat. Inner Mongolia will concentrate resources to implement key projects in the "Three-North" engineering campaign. In the Yellow River "several-bend" region, they will focus on the sand control system along the 180-km stretch of the Yellow River from Helan Mountain to Yinshan. In the Kelun and Hunshandake sand control battle, they will focus on the southern edge of Hunshandake Desert. In the Hexi Corridor-Taklamakan Desert border combat, they will focus on consolidating the edge of Badain Jaran and Tengger Desert. Inner Mongolia will continue to promote sand control through methods such as photovoltaic and road sand control, in order to improve efficiency. They will also increase the promotion and application of advanced sand control machinery equipment such as smart tree planting robots and sand barrier laying machines.
