The second phase of the world's largest metamorphic rock oil field project has completed the installation of all pipeline supports.
According to China Offshore Oil Tianjin Branch, all the manifold structures of the Bohai 26-6 oilfield development project were installed in place on February 13. The project has made important progress in the construction phase, laying a solid foundation for the on-time production of the second phase of the project. The Bohai 26-6 oilfield is located in the central part of the Bohai Sea and is the world's largest metamorphic rock oilfield. The development project of Bohai 26-6 oilfield adopts a development strategy of "integrated planning, step-by-step implementation, and integrated promotion", with the first phase of the project officially put into operation in 2025. The completion of the second phase of the project will significantly increase domestic oil and gas production, further strengthen the clean energy supply and livelihood security capabilities in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the surrounding area of the Bohai Sea. The project will also effectively drive the upgrade of the upstream and downstream industrial chains of marine engineering equipment, oil and gas technology services, inject new momentum into the high-quality development of the marine economy.
