Ministry of Science and Technology: The National Natural Science Foundation needs to deepen the reform of scientific funds and produce more original results.

On February 12th, the National Natural Science Foundation of China held a scientific symposium in Beijing on "Deepening the Reform of Science Fund and Producing More Original Achievements". Yin Hejun, Secretary of the Party Group and Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology, emphasized that at the new starting point of the 40th anniversary, the National Natural Science Foundation of China should seize the historical opportunities of the new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation, adhere to the strategic orientation of "four orientations", deeply grasp the laws and characteristics of the development of basic research, strengthen the strategic, forward-looking, and systemic layout of basic research, deepen the reform of science fund, further improve the funding system, enhance the efficiency of funding, strengthen talent training, create a good scientific research ecosystem, carry out extensive cooperation and exchanges with foreign countries, expand international cooperation space, strive to produce more original achievements, continuously create new situations in the development of basic research in China, and make new and greater contributions to the construction of a strong country in science and technology.
