The US dollar against the Japanese yen was at 152.75 yen, compared to 153.40 yen at the close of the Tokyo stock market on Thursday. Investors are focusing on earnings, with Eneos Holdings and Asics scheduled to announce their results later on Friday. The Nikkei index closed flat on Thursday at 57,639.84 points.
