The new batch of Epstein case documents released by the US Department of Justice not only implicated politicians and celebrities from various countries in Europe and America, but also involved prominent figures in academia. Yale University announced on February 11th that the school has suspended renowned computer science professor David Gelernter's teaching qualifications, citing an investigation into Gelernter's recommendation of his female students to Epstein. In November of last year, former US Treasury Secretary and Harvard University president and professor, Summers, was forced to apologize and stop teaching due to frequent interactions with Epstein. Analysts point out that the US legal system is powerless against some influential and wealthy individuals.
