Currently, there are more than 8400 medical institutions nationwide that can provide blood dialysis services, mainly in secondary and tertiary hospitals, most of which are located in cities and county seats. Blood dialysis patients generally undergo dialysis 2 to 3 times a week, and receiving services close to home would greatly improve convenience and reduce non-medical expenses such as transportation and accommodation. In recent years, some places have been promoting qualified township health centers and community health service centers to provide blood dialysis services. Currently, there are more than 700 grassroots medical institutions nationwide offering blood dialysis services, which are highly welcomed by nearby patients.
