Wang Lixia, former Deputy Secretary of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Party Committee and former Chairman of the Autonomous Region Government, was expelled from the party and removed from public office for serious violations of discipline and law.
Approved by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission conducted a case investigation on the serious violations of discipline and law by Wang Lixia, former Deputy Secretary of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Party Committee and former Chairman of the Autonomous Region Government, who is also the 20th Central Committee member.
After investigation, it was found that Wang Lixia lost her ideals and beliefs, betrayed her original mission, seriously deviated from the principle of "two safeguards," implemented the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee in a double-faced and arbitrary manner; violated the spirit of the Central eight-point regulations, illegally entered private clubs, accepted banquets and travel arrangements that may affect the fair performance of official duties, borrowed management and service vehicles in violation of regulations, was greedy and pursued pleasure; violated organizational principles, failed to report personal matters as required, did not truthfully explain issues in organizational inquiries, sought benefits for others and accepted bribes in cadre selection and appointment work; lacked integrity, received gift money in violation of regulations, had others pay expenses that should have been paid by oneself; improperly intervened in and interfered with judicial activities; had a corrupt family style, failed to manage and educate family members; used her position to seek benefits for others in project approval, engineering contracting, etc., and illegally accepted a large amount of property.
Wang Lixia seriously violated the Party's political discipline, organizational discipline, integrity discipline, work discipline, and life discipline, and committed serious violations of duty and suspected bribery crimes. After the 18th Party Congress, she did not restrain herself, the nature of her actions was serious, the impact was bad, and she should be dealt with severely. In accordance with relevant provisions of the "Disciplinary Measures of the Communist Party of China," the "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China," and the "Administrative Punishment Law of Public Servants of the People's Republic of China," the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection decided, after studying at the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and submitting it to the meeting of the Politburo of the Central Committee for review, to expel Wang Lixia from the Party and to dismiss her from public office; to terminate her qualifications as a delegate to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the 11th Party Congress of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region; to confiscate her illicit gains; and to transfer her suspected criminal issues to the procuratorial authorities for investigation and prosecution, along with the related property. The decision to expel her from the Party will be ratified at the upcoming meeting of the Central Committee.
