National Development and Reform Commission: Focus on three "coordinations" to implement the coordinated development strategy of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei.
On February 12, Wang Changlin, Deputy Director of the National Development and Reform Commission, stated at a press conference that the introduction of the "Spatial Coordinated Planning for the Modern Capital Metropolitan Area" is an important measure to implement the strategy of coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei. The main focus is on three "coordinations".
The first is that development goals should be coordinated. The "Planning" takes into account the construction of the capital metropolitan area in the context of the coordinated development strategy of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, and proposes construction goals for 2030, 2035, and 2050 in terms of spatial layout, innovation, and industrial coordination.
The second is that functional layout should be coordinated. The "Planning" implements the functional positioning of the three provinces and cities in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, based on the construction of the metropolitan area, leveraging the respective comparative advantages of the three areas to accelerate the formation of a pattern of mutually reinforcing advantages and coordinated development.
The third is that policy measures should be coordinated. The "Planning" focuses on commuting circles, functional circles, and industrial coordination circles, concentrating on key areas and sectors, and clearly defines the key tasks for further deepening coordination among the three provinces and cities from the different dimensions of "points, lines, and areas".
