Recently, the National Medical Insurance Administration issued guidelines for the establishment of general treatment and pharmaceutical medical service price projects. The guidelines for general treatment projects mainly adopt the method of translating existing projects, standardizing and integrating some price items that are too detailed, to ensure smooth connection. Considering the difficulty and risks in operating treatment services for pediatric patients, the guidelines for establishment have set up additional charges for children in some price items such as injections, catheter placement, and gastric lavage, to encourage medical institutions to optimize the quality of diagnosis and treatment services for pediatric patients. The guidelines for pharmaceutical projects transform pharmaceutical services with clear patient needs, specific service content, and clear technical routes into price projects based on application scenarios, establishing 10 price items in 4 categories including pharmaceutical diagnosis, centralized dispensing, concentration determination, and traditional Chinese pharmacy services. Among them, outpatient diagnosis fees are uniformly set to encourage qualified pharmacists to provide scientific and rational drug guidance to patients through outpatient visits; a new home pharmaceutical service fee is established for pharmacists to provide medication assessment and guidance services to patients at home, which can be charged realistically through the combination of "home service fee + home pharmaceutical service fee," promoting the extension of pharmaceutical services to homebound patients, better meeting the medication needs of the elderly and those with mobility issues.
