Nike expects its wholesale business to accelerate globally as it speeds up the release of new footwear and apparel products and increases its investment in the sports sector. CEO Elliott Hill stated in an interview that Nike has regained the favor of retail partners in North America and has developed appropriate strategies and assembled the necessary leadership team to achieve the same goal in other markets. "We have the same consumers who want to buy our brand," Hill said in the interview when discussing retail partners. "When we bring growth and profitability to retailers, we can gain market share." Hill is trying to show investors that his transformation measures will be effective for the world's largest sportswear company. Nike had previously shifted focus to its own channels, alienating retail partners and causing a significant number of loyal fans to switch to competitors such as Adidas, On Holding AG, and Hoka, leading to a historic decline for the company. Wholesale business accounts for approximately 60% of Nike's revenue.
