African stock market closing report: On Wednesday, the South African FTSE/JSE Africa Top 40 Tradable Index rose 0.75% to 114,000 points. The International Monetary Fund believes that South Africa has made progress in the face of complex risks, but in order to guide inflation expectations to fall, it may need to maintain higher policy rates for a longer period of time.
