The National Transportation Commission convenes its first plenary meeting in 2026.

The meeting emphasized that this year is the beginning year of the "14th Five-Year Plan". We must strengthen coordination and collaboration, create a good environment for the development of transportation facilitation, and provide solid support for the successful start and progress of the "14th Five-Year Plan". We should continue to improve the international transportation agreement system, serve the overall diplomatic situation, promote international cooperation in railways, highways, shipping, civil aviation, and postal services, and actively participate in the formulation of international rules and standards. We should improve the diversified and resilient international transportation channel system, expand and strengthen the brands of inter-connected railways, shipping, and aviation, and enhance the resilience of the channels. We should ensure the smooth operation of international transportation, continue to promote customs facilitation, promote the upgrading of overseas facilities, accelerate the application of digital technology, and form a collaborative force. We should protect the legitimate rights and interests of practitioners and implement service guarantee measures. We should make good use of the National Transportation Facilitation Committee mechanism, strengthen policy coordination, promote the implementation of plans, strengthen guidance and supervision, and coordinate the implementation of key tasks.
