According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, in January 2026, the year-on-year decrease in the producer price index of industrial products in China was 1.4%, which was 0.5 percentage points narrower than the previous month, while the month-on-month increase was 0.4%, an expansion of 0.2 percentage points compared to the previous month. The year-on-year decrease in the purchase price of industrial producers was also 1.4%, with a decrease of 0.7 percentage points from the previous month, while the month-on-month increase was 0.5%, an expansion of 0.1 percentage point from the previous month.
