Wilson, head of commodity strategy at BNP Paribas in Paris, stated that due to ongoing macroeconomic and geopolitical risks, the price of gold may climb to $6,000 per ounce before the end of the year, and the gold-silver ratio is expected to increase. Wilson pointed out that although the gold-silver ratio is still below the average level of over 80 in the past two years, it has seen a rebound. "I believe there is still room for further differentiation between the two," he said in an interview. "To me, the rise in gold makes sense, while silver cannot provide the same level of safe-haven protection." Wilson added that the outlook for gold is also supported by continued purchases by central banks around the world.
