Market data shows that over the past two years, the international benchmark price of low-purity gallium in Rotterdam has nearly tripled. According to ArgusMedia data, the average price in January this year reached a historical high of about $1572 per kilogram. Currently, gallium is widely used in the global technology and military sectors. China holds almost an absolute advantage in gallium production, accounting for over 90% of the global primary production. In the past few months, the US government has invested hundreds of millions of dollars in domestic and overseas factories to establish its own gallium supply chain, reduce reliance on imports, and attempt to completely reshape the global gallium supply chain through the "overseas deployment, multinational cooperation, and domestic recycling" strategy. According to the forecast of the Finnish critical minerals consulting company Rovjok, global gallium demand is expected to increase by about 24% by 2030.
