Around 8:50 on February 7, a gantry accident occurred at the Shangzhuang mine section of the Canzhuang gold mine in Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province, resulting in the deaths of 7 people. The aftermath is currently being handled. The emergency and public security departments have simultaneously launched investigations into the cause of the accident and the suspected cover-up by the company. The head of the emergency department in Zhaoyuan City told reporters that the company did not report the accident promptly. It was not until February 9 that the Zhaoyuan City Emergency Bureau received a report and confirmed the occurrence of the accident on-site.
