15,000 new inclusive childcare spots added, multiple departments launched the implementation of public health projects for the people.
In order to better address the urgent and difficult health issues that the masses are concerned about, the National Health Commission, the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the National Health Commission issued a notice today, deciding to continue implementing a batch of practical projects for the people in the national health system in 2026. The ten practical projects and measures include:
- Addition of 1000 township health centers and community health service centers to provide diagnosis and treatment services for common and prevalent diseases in children.
- Addition of 110 counties to provide psychological outpatient services.
- All tertiary public hospitals to provide health weight management outpatient services.
- Promotion of mutual recognition of at least 300 inspection and testing items in secondary and above medical institutions based on prefectural units.
- Counties with a resident population of over 60,000 should be able to provide blood dialysis services. 350 new township health centers and community health service centers nationwide will provide blood dialysis services.
- 10,000 medical institutions nationwide to provide early pregnancy care outpatient services.
- Addition of 150,000 subsidized childcare openings nationwide.
- Free national immunization program for 13-year-old girls to receive Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination services. Township health centers and community health service centers should provide weekend vaccination services.
- Training of 3200 key personnel in "Western medicine learning traditional Chinese medicine".
- Holding a "Seasonal Changes and Health" press conference, organizing over 10,000 health knowledge lectures nationwide, and promoting the integration of health popularization services into the daily work and life of the masses.
