The Ministry of Ecology and Environment announced on the 9th the "Notice on the Relevant Work of the National Carbon Emission Trading Market in 2026", which clearly states that by April 10, 2026, provincial ecological environment authorities will pre-allocate carbon emission quotas for key emitting units in the steel, cement, and aluminum smelting industries for the year 2025. By June 30, 2026, pre-allocate carbon emission quotas for key emitting units in the power generation industry for the year 2025.
