Meituan Travel data shows that the small peak of hotel check-ins during the Spring Festival officially began on February 7th, with the first group of tourists choosing to "take 6 days off and enjoy 17 days" checking into hotels. The number of "hotel advanced booking" orders for the Spring Festival in the Year of the Horse increased by 63% compared to the previous year. During the extended Spring Festival holiday in 2026, tourists are showing the characteristics of "traveling farther and staying longer". Meituan platform data shows that during the Spring Festival, hotel orders for "staying in two different cities for 2 days or more" increased by 65% compared to the previous year, and more than 60% of hotel orders were for "family outings".
