During the first week of the Spring Festival travel rush, passenger and freight transportation across the Qiongzhou Strait was in full swing, with a significant increase in the transportation volume of new energy vehicles. According to statistics from the Haikou Maritime Safety Administration, during the first week of the Spring Festival travel rush, a total of 2349 passenger and freight ships safely entered and left the port, transporting 758,000 passengers and 192,700 vehicles, representing a respective increase of 4.58%, 16.65%, and 9.30% compared to the previous year. Among them, a total of 361 special trips for transporting new energy vehicles were operated, representing a 75.24% increase year-on-year. A total of 33,670 new energy vehicles were transported, a 122.49% increase year-on-year.
