The Supreme People's Procuratorate is rectifying community group buying food safety issues.

The scale of community group buying users in our country has exceeded 600 million, covering over 80% of urban communities and county markets. Zhang Xueqiao, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, pointed out that community group buying is by no means a lawless place. If the operating entities directly violate the Civil Code and commercial laws and regulations, causing harm to the legitimate rights and interests of consumers and should bear civil legal responsibilities, procuratorial organs cannot "turn a blind eye" and should initiate civil public interest litigation in order to uphold the unity and correct implementation of civil and commercial laws.
