Ministry of Public Security: Severely crack down on crimes related to food safety on the internet in accordance with the law.
The Ministry of Public Security's anti-food and drug crime bureau issued a notice requiring strict crackdown on online food safety crimes in accordance with the law. The notice requires a focus on key areas such as e-commerce platforms, live streaming platforms, food delivery platforms, short video platforms, social platforms, etc., focusing on false advertising and sales of fake and inferior health products, meat products, alcoholic beverages, agricultural products, and seasonings, as well as issues such as the false operation of "ghost delivery" online stores. Continuous online inspections will be carried out, actively investigating leads, and resolutely investigating and prosecuting suspected criminals.
Given the characteristics of dispersed areas, hidden activities, and large transaction volumes in the crime of selling fake and inferior food online, early and small-scale crackdowns will be conducted on emerging and recurring problems to eliminate food safety risks at the bud stage.
For key criminal cases, breakthroughs will be made, and for cross-regional and serial cases, both upstream and downstream will be dealt with together, investigating from the source to the end, launching timely cluster crackdown actions, resolutely dismantling a group of professional criminal gangs, destroying a batch of illegal criminal dens, and cutting off a batch of illegal interest chains.
