Shanghai Shipping Exchange: The market is gradually cooling down, the coastal bulk freight composite index is weakening.
The weekly report on the Chinese coastal shipping market released by the Shanghai Shipping Exchange on February 7th shows that this week, as the Spring Festival approaches, the starting rate in various regions has decreased, and the demand for end-point transportation has gradually decreased. Inventory replenishment is mainly based on long-term contracts, and the transportation market is characterized by more ships than goods, with a subdued trading atmosphere and a continued decline in the comprehensive index for coastal bulk cargo. On February 6th, the Shanghai Shipping Exchange reported that the Chinese coastal comprehensive freight index closed at 968.98 points, down 4.5% from the previous period.
