Citigroup analysts said that investors had expected Stellantis to record an asset impairment. These analysts added that, however, the key bearish factor is the size of this expense, including cash payments, even though it will be paid in installments. The car manufacturer announced a major restructuring of its business and made provisions for related asset impairment charges. Stellantis also expects to incur a net loss in the second half of 2025 and has suspended dividends. Citigroup predicts that any upside potential for Stellantis will be related to reducing production capacity, but the car manufacturer did not announce any factory closures on Friday. The company's stock fell 18% to 6.71 euros, having earlier dropped as much as 21% during the trading day.
