Japan's TEPCO announces it will restart Unit 6 reactor at Kashiwazaki-Kariwa nuclear power plant.

Tokyo Electric Power Company announced on the 6th that it will restart the No. 6 reactor at the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant in Niigata Prefecture on the 9th. The reactor had to be shutdown shortly after restart on January 21 due to a control rod alarm malfunction, but Tokyo Electric Power Company has determined that the issue has been resolved. The originally planned commercial operation, scheduled to begin on the 26th of this month, will be postponed to March 18th.
