The National Medical Products Administration announced that the National Medical Device Supervision and Management Work Conference for the year 2026 will be held in Shenyang from February 4th to 5th. The conference will focus on six key tasks for the supervision of medical devices in 2026: 1. Collaborate to advance the formulation of the "14th Five-Year Plan", plan systematically, and set development goals scientifically; 2. Build a more perfect system of laws and regulations, actively promote the legislative process, and continuously improve institutional design; 3. Provide precise support for the development of innovative medical devices, continuously release policy dividends, and focus on achieving breakthroughs in key areas; 4. Promote the improvement of the quality and efficiency of the registration and filing of medical devices, deepen standardized governance, and maintain consistency in standards; 5. Govern safety risks comprehensively, enhance the quality and effectiveness of risk consultation, continuously strengthen supervision with a problem-oriented approach, and strictly punish illegal activities; 6. Enhance the level of professional competence in supervision comprehensively, conduct in-depth international exchanges and cooperation, and actively build a new pattern of shared governance.
