The 35.5% increase in revenue for Hon Hai in January indicates a strong demand for Nvidia servers in the global artificial intelligence development wave. This company, also known as Foxconn, reported revenue of 730 billion New Taiwan dollars (approximately 23 billion US dollars) last month. However, the comparison with the same period last year may have been affected by the Lunar New Year holiday falling in January, as the 2025 Spring Festival holiday falls in January. It is expected that the company's sales in the three months ending in March will increase by 28%. Hon Hai, responsible for manufacturing servers storing chips for data centers, is one of the key players in the artificial intelligence hardware industry centered around Nvidia. Despite warnings of excess capacity due to uncertainties in technology monetization, American companies from Meta to Amazon are still investing billions of dollars in deploying equipment needed to train and run artificial intelligence. As a result, Hon Hai benefits from this trend.
