According to the Ministry of Transport, today marks the fourth day of the 2026 Spring Festival travel rush. It is estimated that the total inter-regional passenger flow will reach 196.40 million, an increase of 3.4% compared to the previous period. The railway passenger volume is expected to be 11.85 million, an increase of 6.1% compared to the previous period. The highway passenger flow is expected to be 181.57 million, an increase of 3.4% compared to the previous period. Among them, the commercial passenger volume on highways is estimated to be 31.08 million, an increase of 2.9% compared to the previous period, and an increase of 1.2% compared to the same period in 2025; the non-commercial passenger volume of small vehicles on expressways and ordinary national and provincial roads is estimated to be 150.49 million, an increase of 3.4% compared to the previous period. The waterway passenger volume is estimated to be 0.62 million, an increase of 3.9% compared to the same period in 2025. The civil aviation passenger volume is estimated to be 2.36 million, an increase of 1.9% compared to the previous period and an increase of 5.6% compared to the same period in 2025.
