The first domestically built dual-fuel methanol refueling ship in our country has been put into operation.
On the 5th, it was learned from Sinopec that recently, China's first self-built dual-fuel methanol refueling ship, the "Daqing 268" ship, was officially put into use at the Yantian Port in Shenzhen. It refueled the "Zhong Yuan Shipping Carnation" ship with 200 tons of green methanol, laying a solid foundation for the construction of a world-class green shipping hub in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The dual-fuel methanol refueling ship "Daqing 268" is operated by a joint venture company under Sinopec Fuel Oil Sales Co., Ltd., using a dual-fuel power system of methanol and traditional fuel. It is 109.9 meters long, has a payload of 7500 tons, a total hold capacity of 10362 cubic meters, and has the ability to transport and refuel methanol, biodiesel, fuel oil, and other diverse fuels. The route covers the waters of the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. The green methanol refueled this time is certified by ISCC-EU and has undergone carbon tracing detection by international institutions, with a greenhouse gas emission reduction rate exceeding 85% over the entire life cycle. In the future, the "Daqing 268" ship will continue to carry out green methanol refueling operations at multiple ports in the Greater Bay Area, helping the Greater Bay Area enhance its international shipping comprehensive service level and green port competitiveness.
