The interest rate strategist at Deutsche Bank Securities said in a report before the European Central Bank meeting on Thursday that the bank is maintaining a long position in 10-year German government bonds. Deutsche Bank Securities, along with the overall market, expects the European Central Bank to keep the deposit rate unchanged at 2.00%. These strategists said that the overall tone of the ECB information is unlikely to change significantly, implying that interest rates are currently at an appropriate level. "Although uncertainty may return to the discussion, the news releases and press conferences will continue to emphasize balanced risks and 'well-positioned' monetary policy."
