Xiaomi: The fire accident in Yingkou, Liaoning was caused by a lingering fire source inside the vehicle igniting surrounding combustible materials.

On February 4th, a spokesperson from Xiaomi company stated that on February 1st, a Xiaomi SU7 vehicle in Yingkou City, Liaoning Province caught fire at the driver's seat, which was quickly extinguished by the firefighting department on site with no injuries. After investigation, it was found that the cause of the accident was due to a source of fire inside the vehicle igniting nearby combustible materials, not a fault of the vehicle itself. The "fireworks" seen in the circulating video were caused by the ignition of the vehicle's safety airbags, unrelated to the battery. We will assist the customer in handling any follow-up matters.
