Shanxi has allocated the first batch of 2.93 billion yuan in subsidies for elderly care service consumption.

Recently, it was learned from the Shanxi Provincial Department of Civil Affairs that in order to implement the requirements of the elderly service consumption subsidy project, the first batch of 293 million yuan in subsidy funds has been allocated to various cities in Shanxi. Electronic consumption vouchers are distributed to elderly people with moderate or above levels of disability through the "Civil Affairs Platform". It is understood that eligible elderly people can receive a maximum monthly subsidy of 800 yuan and a maximum annual subsidy of 9600 yuan, which can be used for services such as meal assistance, bathing assistance, rehabilitation care, and institutional elderly care. The first assessment fee for elderly people assessed as moderate or above levels of disability can also be deducted by 100 yuan, relieving the pressure of family caregiving.
