Our country has issued a total of 970 national standards related to road traffic.
At a special press conference held today by the State Administration for Market Regulation in conjunction with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Public Security, and the Ministry of Transport, it was learned that in recent years, China has been continuously improving its road traffic standard system, optimizing the effective supply of standards, and achieving significant results.
The road traffic system involves various factors such as people, vehicles, and roads, and the safe and orderly operation cannot be separated from the guidance and guarantee of standardization work. In recent years, the State Administration for Market Regulation and other departments have strengthened the overall coordination and cooperation in the revision of cross-domain standards, greatly speeding up the development of relevant standards.
By 2025, in terms of road vehicles, 108 national standards including basic requirements for vehicle steering systems, safety requirements for electric vehicles, and energy consumption limits for electric vehicles will be issued;
In terms of road infrastructure, 33 national standards including road traffic signs and markings, and LED variable speed limit signs on expressways will be issued;
In terms of road traffic management, 12 national standards including electronic driving licenses for motor vehicles and road traffic signal control systems will be issued.
As of now, a total of 970 national standards related to road traffic have been accumulated, covering key areas such as automobiles, road traffic infrastructure, and road traffic management, providing a solid standard support for the safe, convenient, green, and efficient development of road traffic.
