Brain-Machine Haihe Laboratory: The country's first "Traditional Chinese Medicine Brain-Machine Interface" equipment is now in place. Relevant technology has been installed on the Shenzhou series manned spacecraft to conduct space-based experiments.
The official WeChat account of the Brain-Machine Interaction and Man-Machine Harmony Haihe Laboratory announced today that the first national brain-controlled acupuncture fusion neurorehabilitation equipment platform "Shen Gong-Hua Tuo", led by the team of Zhou Peng, a smart traditional Chinese medicine expert from the Brain-Machine Interaction and Man-Machine Harmony Haihe Laboratory, has been successfully developed in collaboration with several leading units such as the First Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Tianjin Binhai New Area Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Tianzhong Yimai Company. The team innovatively developed the fusion technology of "brain-machine interface + intelligent wearable acupuncture", with research support from previous projects such as the national manned space mission experiment project. The research team has been conducting research in the field of modernization and integration of traditional Chinese medicine appropriate technology with cutting-edge technologies such as brain-machine interface for many years. The portable transcutaneous acupoint electrical stimulation device jointly developed by Tianjin University and Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the previous project has been used for space experiments on multiple Shenzhou manned spacecraft, making it a pioneer in the field of intelligent acupuncture equipment in traditional Chinese medicine for space applications.
