Organization: It is expected that the sales of smartphones in the Indian market will experience a single-digit decline by 2026.
On February 4th, according to the latest report from Counterpoint Research, despite market fluctuations at the end of the year, the shipment volume of India's smartphone market in 2025 is expected to increase by 1% year-on-year, while sales revenue is expected to increase by 8% year-on-year. The continued trend towards high-end products has become a core factor driving sales against the trend. Looking ahead to 2026, it is expected that the Indian smartphone market will experience a single-digit decline in sales volume, especially in the price segment below 15000 Indian Rupees, as demand will be suppressed due to the rise in memory and component costs. At the same time, the price hikes of major OEM manufacturers and stronger high-end strategies are expected to increase the average selling price by 5%-7% year-on-year, further driving the market towards high-end devices.
