The United States initiates the first anti-dumping and countervailing sunset review investigation on Chinese stand vertical engines and their components.

On February 2nd, the US Department of Commerce issued an announcement, initiating the first anti-dumping and countervailing duty sunset review investigation on imports of vertical engines and their components from China with a displacement of 225 to 999cc. At the same time, the US International Trade Commission launched an industry damage investigation on the aforementioned products. The investigation will examine whether the cancellation of current anti-dumping and countervailing measures will continue or reoccur to cause substantial harm to the domestic industry in the United States. Stakeholders should register their responses with the US Department of Commerce within 10 days from the date of this announcement.
