During the 2026 Spring Festival travel rush, the Capital Airport is expected to transport 7.89 million passengers, with an average of 197,000 passengers per day; ensuring the operation of 49,000 flights, with an average of 1,236 flights per day. It is predicted that the number of flights during this year's Spring Festival will increase by approximately 1.3% compared to the same period last year, and passenger traffic will increase by approximately 1.5%. According to data from the Capital Airport, the highest passenger flow concentration is expected on February 13th to 15th before the festival, and on February 22nd and 23rd after the festival, with an average of over 210,000 passengers per day. Starting from February 2nd, the Capital Airport will add two passenger transport routes from the Capital Airport to Beijing Chaoyang Station and from the Capital Airport to Qinghe Station. After the new routes are opened, they will cover bus routes to 7 major railway hubs in Beijing, creating a more convenient air-rail transportation channel for passengers. The Capital Airport reminds passengers to check flight times, terminal and boarding gate information before traveling, and to check flight status through airline websites or the Capital Airport app to allow sufficient time for check-in and security screening. It is strictly prohibited to bring "three excesses" luggage into the cabin, and carrying or checking in fireworks, crackers, firecrackers, and other fireworks products is also prohibited.
