The number of foreign nationals entering and exiting Beijing port in the first month of the new year increased by over 40% compared to the same period last year.

Today marks the beginning of the Spring Festival travel rush in China, and with the arrival of the winter vacation and the approaching of the Spring Festival, the flow of entry and exit at Beijing ports is still showing an upward trend. From January 1st to January 31st, 2026, the Beijing Border Inspection General Station has cumulatively inspected nearly 1.77 million entry and exit personnel, including 560,000 foreigners, accounting for 31.7% of the total number of entry and exit personnel, an increase of 44.5% year-on-year. The number of foreigners entering China under visa-free and temporary entry permit policies exceeded 184,000, which is 1.9 times that of the same period last year, accounting for 71.9% of the total number of foreign entrants.
