Starting today, the T3 terminal of Sanya Fenghuang International Airport in Hainan will begin trial operation.

Sanya Phoenix International Airport T3 terminal started trial operation today. The new terminal building utilizes smart construction and green energy-saving technology, incorporating Hainan characteristic elements in its design. It will enhance the capacity for Spring Festival travel in and out of the island and provide the first boost for the operation of the whole island after the closure of Hainan Free Trade Port. As a flagship expansion project of civil aviation in Hainan during the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan" period and an important pilot project for the construction of the airport group in Hainan Free Trade Port, T3 terminal building adopts a front-line layout and a mixed-flow mode of entry and exit, fully supporting the functions of domestic flight security, with 40 check-in counters, 23 security channels, and 7 fixed-end boarding bridges, and it is also connected with T1 and T2 terminals through corridors to achieve coordinated operation on the third floor and integration.
