The world's largest diameter vertical shaft boring machine "Qiming" successfully connected

On January 30, the world's largest diameter vertical shaft boring machine, "Qiming", jointly developed by China Railway Industry and China Railway Tunnel Bureau, successfully broke through the No. 2 vertical shaft of the Chongtai Yangtze River Tunnel. It achieved the goal of starting and completing the excavation task (56.08 meters) in the same month, setting a new record for the largest diameter and fastest speed of high-speed railway vertical shaft boring machine, laying the foundation for the acceptance, secondary start and full tunnel connection of the "Linghang" shield machine of the Chongtai Yangtze River Tunnel.
