Four provinces including Chubut Province in Argentina have entered a state of emergency.

The Argentine government issued an emergency decree on the 30th, declaring the provinces of Chubut, Ro Negro, Neuqun, and La Pampa in a state of emergency for one year due to forest fires. The decree also authorizes the Federal Emergency Affairs Bureau, a subsidiary of the National Security Ministry, to coordinate firefighting efforts, assist the population, and support the provinces in social and production recovery. The Argentine National Security Ministry announced on the 29th that it would allocate more than 100 billion Argentine pesos to strengthen the operational capacity of the national voluntary firefighters system.
