According to the Ministry of Finance website, on January 30, 2026, Vice Minister Liao Min met with White, Director General of International Finance of the British Treasury, who accompanied Prime Minister Stammer's visit to China in Beijing. They exchanged in-depth views on the China-UK economic and financial dialogue, as well as cooperation between China and the UK in G20 financial channels. Liao Min stated that during Prime Minister Stammer's visit to China, the leaders of China and the UK held important meetings, reaching important consensus on developing a long-term stable comprehensive strategic partnership between China and the UK, providing strategic guidance for economic and financial cooperation between China and the UK. China is willing to implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries with the UK, jointly organize the 12th China-UK economic and financial dialogue, strengthen exchanges and cooperation in multilateral mechanisms such as the G20, and promote new developments in China-UK economic relations.
